Les Mills Class
A high-energy class that caters for total beginners to total addicts! Combining athletic movements, instructors will lead you through energizing workouts. So why not challenge your limits and leave with a real sense of achievement!
This yoga-based class that will improve your mind, body and your life. Bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates.
You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centered.
A great way for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. The use of light to moderate weights with lots of repetition will give you a total body workout.

These sessions use both body weight and strength equipment (bars and plates) to improve your cardiovascular fitness, strength, endurance and power. Everyone works at their own pace but the group motivation will push you to work harder than you ever have before.

A highly motivating cardiovascular and strength workout done on a stationary bike. Maintain a fast cadence then progress into an intense hill climb whilst listening to motivating music. These classes can burn up to 750 calories every 45 minutes.
HIIT is a training programme using alternate periods of intense exercise with less-intense recovery periods. These intense workouts improve aerobic fitness, muscle strength and fat burning. A great workout for sports conditioning but suitable for all levels of fitness.
Tone up, firm up and burn fat from your tummy, hips, thighs and bottom in this fun filled session. You’ll burn calories, lose weight and feel great focusing on all these problem areas.
A mixed session involving cardiovascular, body conditioning and core work. Lots of hard work, but lots of fun too.
An uplifting session that promotes physical health and mental well-being. You will get a good foundation to basic yoga poses, breathing techniques and overall personal awareness. Modifications and easier versions of exercises are always available. This dynamic yoga session will build stamina, strength and flexibility.
Fun or competitive, badminton can improve your overall health significantly when played for at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise almost every muscle in your body without even thinking about it.

We have two netball courts at WV Active Aldersley. If your club is looking for somewhere to play then this is the perfect venue for you.
Every Thursday from 6pm- 7pm. Open to all players of all abilities over the ages of 16 years. £3 per person. No Strings Badminton is a low cost way to play badminton for a relaxed social game. Enjoy weekly court time that gets you swinging a racket for fun and fitness.

Short tennis is played by both adults and children as a means to learn the basics of tennis before progressing to the full version of the sport. Short tennis is played with different equipment than used to play standard tennis, including soft balls, lowered nets and smaller rackets.
Table Tennis is a good sport for maintaining health and fitness. It is also a game that people can play throughout their lifetime and is an ideal social activity. Tennis can be played both as a sport and recreationally with friends and family.

WV Active leisure centres run morning and afternoon activity sessions specifically aimed at people over the age of 50. If you love Badminton, Short Tennis, Bowls and Table Tennis, come along to our turn up and play sessions and enjoy a game with like-minded people. Additional to the sports activities, a dedicated time slot has also been provided specifically for 50+ swim sessions.
There’s no need to book any of our 50+ sessions, so just come along in the appropriate clothing and pay for a ticket at reception. Please note there is no coach at these sessions.
If fast, competitive and skillful football is your thing then you might be ready for 5-a-side. It can be a great way of getting an intense ‘after work’ work-out with a bunch of friends. And despite the official name it’s often played by 4 or 7 players a side, so however many of you there are you can still get involved.

Our 6 lane all weather synthetic athletics track provides sporting facilities for athletes of all levels, we also run a wide range of athletics courses and events aimed at getting children involved.
Whether it’s for fun, to boost your fitness or to practice for an event, Aldersley’s 485m banked velodrome is equipped with the facilities for all your needs.
Our all-weather full sized second generation sand based Astroturf pitch is available for your all year round matches or practice. The pitch can be divided into two or used as a whole.
WV Active Aldersley has two full-sized grass football pitches ideal to train or compete, so come on, get playing! These pitches are bookable per season for matches and training.

Before you start you will need to have an induction with one of our qualified instructors who will show you how to use all of the equipment safely and effectively.
Visit your local WV Active leisure centre or call 01902 551010 to book your induction before you use our gyms for the first time.
Our staff will guide you around your preferred centre and assist with any questions you may have. Inductions are compulsory for all members and gym customers and appropriate gym clothing must be worn.
For a more relaxed atmosphere, our Arts & Crafts Parties are perfect for children who want to spend their birthday doing what they love most – getting creative!
Arts & Crafts parties can be a single craft activity or a mixture of any 2 from the list below.

Our Multi-Sports Parties offer plenty of choice with over 10 different sports to choose from. Let children test out sports they’ve not played before or split them into teams to have a mini competition!

To hire any of our facilities you will need to speak to the individual centre you are interested in to check on availability. Our Duty Officers will be on hand to talk through your event and requirements.
WV Active indoor sports hall are second to none in city of Wolverhampton – and you can use either of our venues at WV Active Aldersley or WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams.
WV Active Alderley’s sports hall is one of the largest indoor arenas regionally and can be hired by multiple groups at the same time – the arena is regularly divided into four separate areas.
The WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams sports hall is a high quality facility with state of the art flooring and floor to ceiling toughened glass panelling to allow a ‘birds eye’ spectator view.
Our sports halls are available for badminton, 5-a-side football, short tennis, basketball, volleyball, netball and table tennis.

Our WV Active fitness instructors are fully trained in the latest exercise programmes and committed to helping you achieve your goals.
This is recommended for the occasional user who uses the facility on an infrequent basis and prefer to ‘pay as you go’.
