WV active has qualified swimming instructors that can improve your swimming ability right from non-swimmers up to those who want to improve their swimming technique.

Energetic Aerobics class. 45 minutes of fun cardio workout incorporating interval training elements to improve fitness and aid weight loss. 15 minute toning section to shape legs, bums and tums.
Pumping music, sociable surroundings and an alternative way to work all the muscles in the body. Safer than regular aerobics, aquacise is lower in impact and causes less stress on joints and muscles. A fun way to exercise no matter your age or ability.
Les Mills Class
A great way for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. The use of light to moderate weights with lots of repetition will give you a total body workout.
Great music and plenty of encouragement from the instructor will leave you feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.
Super power moves that will target multiple muscle groups at once, providing an excellent way to improve your mobility, strength and stamina.
A highly motivating cardiovascular and strength workout done on a stationary bike. Maintain a fast cadence then progress into an intense hill climb whilst listening to motivating music. These classes can burn up to 750 calories every 45 minutes.
HIIT is a training programme using alternate periods of intense exercise with less-intense recovery periods. These intense workouts improve aerobic fitness, muscle strength and fat burning. A great workout for sports conditioning but suitable for all levels of fitness.
Tone up, firm up and burn fat from your tummy, hips, thighs and bottom in this fun filled session. You’ll burn calories, lose weight and feel great focusing on all these problem areas.
Pilates is more of a functional approach to the traditional Pilates class involving standing and lying positions. It aims to improve overall body strength with the main emphasis on your back and core muscles. It will also help to improve posture, mobility, joint problems and tone your body.
Focussing on improving body awareness and everyday life by improving flexibility and range of motion, Stretch and Tone classes help to relieve stress and tension by relaxing the mind and body – ideal for all fitness levels.
An uplifting session that promotes physical health and mental well-being. You will get a good foundation to basic yoga poses, breathing techniques and overall personal awareness. Modifications and easier versions of exercises are always available. This dynamic yoga session will build stamina, strength and flexibility.
50+ swimmers can swim for less during our designated swimming sessions.
Our swimming lessons are aimed at 4 - 16 year olds. All teachers are qualified and attend regular development updates.
There are plenty of reasons to swim, it’s low-Impact, burns calories, an alternative exercise to name a few, it’s also something the entire family can do, exercising in water offers many health benefits and can be continued for a lifetime.
Before you start you will need to have an induction with one of our qualified instructors who will show you how to use all of the equipment safely and effectively.

Visit your local WV Active leisure centre or call 01902 551010 to book your induction before you use our gyms for the first time.
Our staff will guide you around your preferred centre and assist with any questions you may have. Inductions are compulsory for all members and gym customers and appropriate gym clothing must be worn.

WV Active leisure centres have got plenty of fun events and activities lined up to keep your children busy and stop them from being bored. There will be loads of things happening to keep your child happy, please check individual centres to find out what’s on offer during the half term and school holidays.
If you have an event, we are sure to have the venue for you. WV Active offers a wide range of facilities within our 3 leisure sites, this could range from a sports hall, meeting room, swimming pool or an outdoor astro turf pitch.
No matter what your event WV Active could be your venue. Our spaces are fully flexible, and so is our service – whatever you want, we’re here to help, advise and support you for everything from a long term project to a last minute booking. You might be surprised at what we can do for you!
To hire any of our facilities you will need to speak to the individual centre you are interested in to check on availability. Our Duty Officers will be on hand to talk through your event and requirements.
You can hire our swimming pool and enjoy a children’s swimming party as part of a package or hire our pool for your swimming special event.

Our fitness classes provide you with a varied workout from high energy cardio to stress relieving, stretching and toning to spinning and aqua classes to ensure all your fitness requirements are fulfilled. Our WV Active fitness instructors are fully trained in the latest exercise programmes and committed to helping you achieve your goals.
This is recommended for the occasional user who uses the facility on an infrequent basis and prefer to ‘pay as you go’.
