60+ Multi-sport Sessions

WV Active leisure centres run morning and afternoon activity sessions specifically aimed at people over the age of 60. If you love Badminton, Short Tennis, Bowls and Table Tennis, come along to our turn up and play sessions and enjoy a game with like-minded people.

This will be a first come first serve basis, so just come along in the appropriate clothing and pay for a ticket at reception. Please note there is no coach at these sessions.

Customers are now able to pre-book the session, 8 days in advance. Our bookings cancellation procedure will still apply whereby if a person wishes to cancel their pre-booked activity they will not receive a refund, however if they give us 24+ hours' notice they have the ability to move their booking once.

Any cancellations under 24 hours bookings cannot be moved and there will be no refund. It is still possible to book in the centre or over the phone and on the day.

Strength and Balance Class at Bob Jones

Are you ready to take control of your health and confidence? Join our Strength and Balance class that is designed for individuals of all fitness levels and abilities! This supportive, inclusive exercise class focuses on building muscle strength, improving balance and coordination, enhancing overall stability—key elements in falls prevention. Whether you’re standing or seated, our qualified instructor will guide you through movements that help manage symptoms of health conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, and high blood pressure.

By Netball England. Walking Netball is a friendly and inclusive programme, allowing women the opportunity to find their place in the sport. It's netball, but at a walking pace where the rules are slightly tweaked! Walking Netball has been designed so that anyone can play, regardless of age or fitness level. Ideal activity for rehabilitation and return to sport following injury. Walking Netball is an amazing community that is full of life and laughter!

The Hub at Ashmore Park

Easy Circuit Gym

Easy Circuit Gym (Easyline plus other equipment)

These sessions are delivered by a fully qualified instructor, who is always on hand for additional support, and are ideal for anyone who does not like or cannot manage attending your usual gym environment. The aim of the sessions is to maintain and/or develop balance, strength and independence as we age. Massage chairs are also available and included in the price to aid recovery and rehabilitation.
