Discover a range of activities designed for adults aged 55+ or those seeking lower-impact exercise opportunities. With exercise classes and walking sports, we provide a supportive environment to help you stay active and healthy whilst building connections.
WV Active leisure centres run morning and afternoon activity sessions specifically aimed at people over the age of 60. If you love Badminton, Short Tennis, Bowls and Table Tennis, come along to our turn up and play sessions and enjoy a game with like-minded people.
This will be a first come first serve basis, so just come along in the appropriate clothing and pay for a ticket at reception. Please note there is no coach at these sessions.
Customers are now able to pre-book the session, 8 days in advance. Our bookings cancellation procedure will still apply whereby if a person wishes to cancel their pre-booked activity they will not receive a refund, however if they give us 24+ hours' notice they have the ability to move their booking once.
Any cancellations under 24 hours bookings cannot be moved and there will be no refund. It is still possible to book in the centre or over the phone and on the day.

Looking after your grandchildren this morning and want to do something fun and interactive that you can both join in with?
Join our stay and play sessions for grandparents and pre-schoolers to play together and laugh together. Activities will vary each week but there will always be a focus on fun, building bonds and developing physical, social, and functional skills.
These sessions are not structured and encourage free play in a no-pressure environment. However, the session supervisor will be on-hand to offer play ideas should you need them.
Important: Children must be supervised by their guardian at all times.

It's netball, but at a walking pace where the rules are slightly tweaked! Walking Netball has been designed so that anyone can play, regardless of age or fitness level. These sessions are delivered by a fully qualified instructor, who is always on hand for additional support, and are ideal for anyone who does not like or cannot manage attending your usual gym environment.
