Fun or competitive, badminton can improve your overall health significantly when played for at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise almost every muscle in your body without even thinking about it.

BMKA Kickboxing promotes physical and mental wellbeing to instil discipline, respect and a sense of achievement and belonging through training. Sessions are led by former World Kickboxing Champion and 6th Degree Black Belt, Ray Hoffman. All beginners are welcome and separate children and adult classes are offered. All beginners will get four free trial taster lesson with no obligation to join.

Short tennis is played by both adults and children as a means to learn the basics of tennis before progressing to the full version of the sport. Short tennis is played with different equipment than used to play standard tennis, including soft balls, lowered nets and smaller rackets.

A great sport with which to increase flexibility especially in the back and also develop your hand - eye co-ordination. The exhilarating game will see you running, leaping and diving for the ball, all which will lead to improved strength and fitness.

Table Tennis is a good sport for maintaining health and fitness. It is also a game that people can play throughout their lifetime and is an ideal social activity. Tennis can be played both as a sport and recreationally with friends and family.

With TISKA Karate training you will learn the three main disciplines of Karate: Kihon, Kumite, and Kata. Learn self-defence skills, develop fitness and flexibility, become more confident, maintain self-esteem, and have a sense of achievement. You will also have fun and make new friends!
Both children and adults are welcome to try two free full sessions with no obligation to continue.

WV Active leisure centres run morning and afternoon activity sessions specifically aimed at people over the age of 60. If you love Badminton, Short Tennis, Bowls and Table Tennis, come along to our turn up and play sessions and enjoy a game with like-minded people. Additional to the sports activities, a dedicated time slot has also been provided specifically for 60+ swim sessions.
There’s no need to book any of our 60+ sessions, so just come along in the appropriate clothing and pay for a ticket at reception. Please note there is no coach at these sessions.
